The Final Countdown!!
I have a final goal for this weight loss journey of mine. January 2015!! Matt turns 40 in December of 2014 and I've been thinking about his birthday for a couple of weeks now. So the big plans are that I'm going to take him away on a snowboarding holiday in January 2015. I had a chat with him and he's totally onboard. Location will depend on who would be up for coming. I've put it out to his snow friends and their other halves; if other people are up for coming along, it'll be Europe, if not I'll take him to the States or Canada. I'm just looking for an idea of who might come to know what sort of saving up I have to do.
I can't do anything about it until this time next year but I don't know enough about winter resorts so I need to do research into the resorts not just the hotels. I love all that sort of stuff though :-)
So I have approximately 84/85 weeks to get the weight off AND learn to ski or snowboard. That's more than possible. If I lose 2 pounds a week, I'll have lost all the weight I need to by this time next year. I've tried snowboarding before and I need to be a lot fitter than I am now to actually be able to take lessons. Snowboarding is brutal and it's really weird having your feet attached to one piece of wood lol. I'm going to try snowboarding again and if I just can't do it, I'll try skiing. I think Matt would like it if I learnt to snowboard.
I'm really excited about it!! These winter places always have a hot tub or swimming pool so the next time I have to go shopping for holiday clothes will be for this one and I should be at target weight.
This week didn't get off to the best start, I slept through the alarm so didn't manage the gym this morning but it's one day and I'm back again tomorrow morning start through until Saturday. I'm also on Day 3 of the Squat/Crunches/Plank challenge. On top of that I'm sitting waiting for my Asda order which is the healthiest I've ever ordered!! This week's weigh in number should be a minus :-)
