Week 1 - What a bust
Week 1 was a complete bust. I ate crap and wasn't really in the mood to do anything in terms of exercise.
The first time I went out running, I ended up soaking wet and generally feeling rotten and it just put me off. The wind was biting and I really couldn't get past how cold & miserable I was. If any runners read this, I would really appreciate some advice on how you get past the cold when you're running.
I weighed in on Sunday and had put on a pound. So the first week of my resolution didn't go so well but there are still 51 weeks to achieve it. So.....
Previous weight: 18st 13lbs (265lbs)
Gain: 1lb :-(
New weight: 19st (266lbs)
I bought a exercise DVD on Sunday as well. I generally don't buy them. I think they're all a bit of a con and when you get used to the routine, it all gets a bit boring. However, this year I bought the fitness DVD that Vicky from Geordie Shore produced. I've watched every season of Geordie Shore and I really like her. She's also lost a ton of weight lately. I was reading about her DVD and it's gone to number 1 in the charts. The program is made up of 6 workouts and you do one a week. Once you have done one a week, you step it up to 2 a week then 3 a week etc until you are doing the whole DVD. The individual workouts are only 10 mins long and are like mini metafit classes.
I've only been doing it for 2 days now and I had forgotten about the huge buzz that I get from exercising. So the exercise plan is that I'm going to get a couple of stone off and then I'm going to go to the circuit training class that I was talking about last time. I'm going to keep going out for a run but I'm aware that I need to be careful with knees & hips so I can't push it too far.
I'm also concentrating on my diet. You can't do one thing without doing the other so I'll be multi-tasking with diet and exercise. 10 mins of exercising is not difficult and there really is no excuse not to do it.
I'm excited about posting my update in terms of weight on Sunday!!! Let the weight loss begin!!!
