Out with the old and in with the new
It's around this time of the year that I normally get a bit reflective and say what the plan is for the year coming.
I can honestly say that 2013 has been a horrible year and I can't wait to see the back of it.
Professionally, I started my career and had to take a break in the same year. It started apart from all friends and family. A huge plus point though, I made some amazing friends down in Manchester. When I came home, my personal life took a nose dive and impacted me from a work perceptive.
I graduated and found out that I was pregnant on the same day. An amazing day! Unfortunately we all know the outcome of the pregnancy. In September, I took on a new challenge to get my mojo back and I'm still working at that.
My weight loss disappeared into the ether but I'm human and life got in the way. I plan to pick it back up again in 2014.
The year is ending on a sour note though. We lost my granny just over a week ago. She really was an amazing woman. She beat cancer, survived a horrible car accident and was just such a strong woman. I was incredibly close to her and I got to spend the day with her the day before she died. It was sudden and somewhat unexpected and while it's not what I would have wanted for her, she didn't suffer.
So I'm dedicating this blog entry to my granny. A beautiful soul who is now at peace and back with my grandad.
I also have a couple of resolutions for 2014.
1. I will lose at least 2lbs a week in 2014
2. I will make sure that the people I love know it and I won't just presume they do.
So that's it for 2013. The posts on here have been sparse this year and a bit sad. I can't promise 2014 will be different but I can always promise that each and every post will be honest. I wrote and read the eulogy at my granny's funeral and it reinforced that life isn't a dress rehearsal. We don't get a 2nd chance so we have to take whatever hand we're dealt and make the most of it. That's the plan for 2014. Thanks to everyone who has read my blog.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all xx
